Jobs can be tracked in a number of ways depending on the level of detail and or method required by your organisation. Understanding the Job Tracking Type will ensure data from the Tātou Field App provides the information you require. The most common three are: Assign Rows, Simple Summary, and Hours Only.

Key Features:
Good data in provides good data out. We encourage all our users to track as much detail as possible, live in the Field. Even if you pay hourly, block units provide task progress and employee performance data which will supercharge your reporting and insights.
Hours Only:
From task and block selection to timesheet entry, Hours Only fast tracks timesheet entry when task progress is NOT required.
Tasks tracked with Hours Only tracking, will NOT provide data for many of the dashboards, and reporting features that use Unit Tracking to report progress. Simple Summary is a good alternative to Hours Only when block completion data is important for tracking.
Pro Tip: Use Hours Only for Tasks that do not require block completion progress tracking. For example: Machine R&M, Staff Meetings & Training.
Simple Summary:
Used for tracking tasks where task completion across blocks or even rows is required.
Recommended Tracking Type for any job that does not require individual row assignments.
