This release simplifies administrative tasks for Employee and Client data management in Tātou Office App.
What’s Changed?
Xero | Employee Sync
Previously, we have relied on First Name, Last Name, and Tātou login email address to match employees, requiring changes to any of these fields in Xero to be replicated in Tātou. Improvements in this release include:
Use of Staff ID if available
Once an Employee Staff ID matches the Xero Employee ID, Tātou will look to use this value when updating employee information through the integration.
Email Matching
We have updated the email matching to prioritise the personal email instead of the Tātou login email. This allows payroll to use the employee’s personal email rather than a business-related one.
During the initial sync, as Xero only provides a single email field, it will be copied to both the personal and login email fields in Tātou. After that, the login email can be manually replaced in Tātou if required.
Employees | Bulk Edit
We’ve improved how bulk edits work in the Office Employees table, especially for large selections. You can now confidently apply changes (such as hourly rates or other fields) to hundreds of employees at once without hitting confusing errors. This makes it faster and more reliable for admins and managers to keep employee records up to date in bulk.
Roles | Import & Export
This improvement simplifies managing Roles and Role Rates for our customers. Exporting and importing new Roles and Next Hourly Role Rates reduces admin time by enabling bulk updates.
As with all bulk imports, large data volumes can change rapidly. Ensure staff managing roles understand the risks and are confident using bulk imports before using this new feature.
Admin | Clients, Locations, Block Level Imports
Previously, bulk importing Client, Location, and Block information required row-level columns, even if that detail was unnecessary, making templates larger than needed for some data updates. Users can now import Client, Location, or Block level changes from individual records in Tātou Office, simplifying import files for those targeted updates. This allows customers to update information where it needs to be updated.
